¿Cómo puedo encontrar el nombre y la versión del sistema operativo usando JavaScript?
Comencé a escribir un script para leer la versión del sistema operativo y del navegador que se puede probar en Fiddle . Siéntase libre de utilizarlo y ampliarlo.

Desde septiembre de 2020 se detecta el nuevo Edge. Entonces, 'Microsoft Edge' es la nueva versión basada en Chromium y el antiguo Edge ahora se detecta como 'Microsoft Legacy Edge'.
Detección de Windows 11
Debido al problema que navigator.userAgent
muestra Windows 10 incluso en Windows 11, utilizo la API de Navigatornavigator.userAgentData
para detectar la versión correcta de Windows. Y debido a que esto solo se puede recuperar mediante una llamada asincrónica, tendremos que usar un tiempo de espera para mostrar la versión correcta de Windows. Actualmente sólo es compatible con Edge, Chrome y Opera, por lo que no es 100% confiable. Y eliminé la detección de flash.
Por eso creé un nuevo Fiddle.
Aquí la detección 'clásica' que no es capaz de detectar Windows 11.

Úselo para extraer cualquier detalle que necesite (y pueda). Tenga en cuenta que no hay garantías de que el cliente realmente utilice esa plataforma, ya que esto se puede modificar fácilmente de muchas maneras.
